I have great memories of sledding and tobogganing every winter. This painting is of one of those memories. It’s been over fifteen years since David and I and our kids lived in town, but in my mind I can still see this scene like it was yesterday!
There was an older couple from the neighborhood who had a little hill by their home that was absolutely perfect for sledding and snowboarding. Our kids - and most of the others from the neighborhood - would spend hours over there! This is a painting of Anthony and Becca returning home from one of those fun days of sledding. (I added the 'holding hands' for the effect - you can bet that, at that time in their lives, the last thing they wanted to do is hold hands!!!) The dogs in the painting are Clara and Amy, the loveable mutts who claimed Anthony and Becca as “mom” and “dad.”
